Rediscovering Bands – Metric

January 11, 2013 by Lance Heiskell Leave a Comment

I had a Rhapsody subscription in 2005 and Metric was one of those bands that I found and liked a lot. Then, I stopped using the service and totally forgot about the band.  Cut to, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World and the song Black Sheep for the movie.

That was Metric. Love the song and ever since I’ve been doing a deep dive and buying every album and checking out live performances on Youtube. Sadly, they haven’t toured in Dallas – they hit Austin instead. I’ll watch them live eventually.

Check out the awesome camera work and slow motion in “Youth Without Youth” from their current album and one of the songs from that 2005 album – a live performance of “Poster of a Girl”
